Baseball program at Ethel awarded $5,000 for uniforms

The Attala County School Board approve to give the Ethel High School Baseball Team $5,000 for uniforms during the Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Deborah McKinley, who is an active parent in the baseball program, asked for monetary help from the board, citing that the program is running low on funds and the uniforms are worn.

McKinley said they have held many fundraisers to make improvements to the baseball program by re-sodding the field and erecting a batting cage.

“I’m all for it if we can come up with the money,” Board President Linda Massey, who has a son on the baseball team, said.

Mack Willie Clark asked McAdams High School Principal Katie Jamison to see if the McAdams team was in need of uniforms as well.
