Wood to assume lead role at EHS

KOSCIUSKO — EHS Assistant Principal Jim Wood was hired as principal for the upcoming school year during the Attala County School Board meeting Monday night. Attala County Schools Superintendent Bryan Weaver said three were interviewed by a committee for the position.

He added that the transition would be smooth since he is already in the assistant principal role.

The promotion comes after the resignation of current principal Michael Ray. Wood currently serves as the fast pitch softball coach and football defensive coordinator.

The board also re-hired principals Lilia Fisher,  Dietrich Harmon,  Tony Holder and Jacqueline Sandifer.
