KOSCIUSKO —
While the actual session of Attala County Circuit Court started on Tuesday, Judge C.E. Morgan III has already sentenced several during plea day in the Attala County Courthouse on August 29.
Carolyn Diane Allen, 53, pleaded guilty to a grand larceny charge and was ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution and will be on probation for five years.
She was working as a housekeeper for Pam Breazeale and Cynthia Dean and had taken numerous pieces of jewelry and other items.
David Cox, 23, took a deal and pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling. He will be on probation for five years, pay restitution of $400 and $500 fine.
He and Kayla Marie were both charged June 23 from taking property from Jerry Ramage.
In other sentences:
–Sidney Nettles will serve five years probation with three years post-release supervision.
–Lonnie Brent Campbell, 39, got four years probation for possession of cocaine and will also pay a $500 fine.
–Derrick Landingham will serve nine years with five years post-release supervision for robbery. He will also pay a $500 fine.
–Lamario Primer, 23, on the charge of identity fraud, received five years probation and must pay restitution of $4,539.20.
–Ernest Simmons Jr., will serve one year on house arrest and four years probation for felony driving under the influence. His fine is $2,000.
Those granted non-adjuticated status:
–Justin Daniel Holmes, 21, on the charged of accessory after the fact of malicious mischief.
–Kelcy Harmon on the charge of embezzlement.
Non-adjudication is the process of allowing a first-time, nonviolent defendant to complete certain conditions and avoid a conviction on their record.
