Holmes County men busted; $10,000 worth of crack confiscated by ACSD

KOSCIUSKO — A joint effort by the Attala County Sheriff’s Department, Choctaw County Sheriff's Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, two Holmes County men were arrested during a drug bust Saturday.

Curtis Blackmon, 51, of Cruger, was charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and Antonio Parks, 33, of Lexington was charged with possession with intent to sale cocaine. There was also an outstanding warrant from the Mississippi Department of Corrections on Blackmon.

Sheriff Tim Nail said the pair was caught on Highway 12 East about two miles into Choctaw County, where they seized two ounces of crack cocaine, approximately $2,500 and a 2002 Ford Expedition. The cocaine is valued $10,000.

Nail thanked all those involved especially Choctaw County Sheriff Cloyd Hallford, saying the arrests wouldn’t have been possible without Choctaw County’s assistance.
