KOSCIUSKO — The Star-Herald is proud to reveal its first full-color service and business directory found inserted in this week’s edition.

“For years, we have run a service directory within the page of the newspaper and we wanted to take it to another level by offering our readers a product that they could keep handy throughout the year,” General Manager Cindi Compton said.

The standard newspaper directory will continue to run in the paper each week.

The slender and handy booklet features everything and anything from accountants to restaurants to funeral home in Attala and Holmes Counties.

The directory is user-friendly with alphabetical headings of business card-style advertisements.

“We really want to thank those who decided to become a part of our first directory,” Compton said. “We hope that newspaper readers will find the directory helpful.

Another growing feature of each weekly edition is the sales papers.

“Over the last several months, our number of coupons has grown,” Compton said. “This is a great value to our readership.”

In addition to the staple inserts like CVS, Sears and Home Hardware, The Star-Herald has also gained Wal-Mart sales papers.
