The McAdams High School boys and girls will both receive first-round byes when they host the Region 6-1A Basketball Tournament this week.
Action begins on Monday with four games. The semifinals won't be played until Thursday, with the finals set for Friday.
The tournament action begin on Monday with the Thomastown and Edinburg girls tipping off at 4 p.m., followed by a 5:30 p.m. boys game between Thomastown and South Leake. The 7 p.m. girls game has South Leake facing Durant, while the 8:30 p.m. boys game features Ethel taking on Edinburg.
Thursday's boys semifinals have No. 1 seed Durant taking on the Edinburg-Ethel winner at 5:30 p.m., while the second-seeded McAdams boys play at 8:30 p.m. against the South Leake-Thomastown winner.
Thursday's girls semifinals will have No. 2-seeded Ethel facing the Edinburg-Thomastown winner at 4 p.m., while the Lady Bulldogs of McAdams face the Durant-South Leake winner at 7 p.m.
