Williams-Sullivan, Ackerman head to Hollandale
HOLLANDALE — The Ackerman boys and girls basketball teams will be putting their seasons on the line when they travel to Hollandale on Tuesday to take part in the Region 4-2A Tournament, as will the Williams-Sullivan girls.
The six-team event begins on Tuesday with elimination games. At 4 p.m. the Ackerman girls will be taking on Greenville O'Bannon, while at 5:30 p.m. the J.Z. George and Greenville O'Bannon boys will play. The 7 p.m. girls contest has Williams-Sullivan facing Eupora, while at 8:30 p.m. the Ackerman boys take on host Hollandale-Simmons.
Thursday's girls games have J.Z. George facing the Ackerman-O'Bannon winner at 4 p.m. and Hollandale-Simmons taking on the winner between Eupora and Williams-Sullivan at 7.
Thursday's boys games begin at 5:30 p.m. with Williams-Sullivan facing the J.Z. George-O'Bannon winner, while at 8:30 p.m. Eupora will take on the winner of the Hollandale-Simmons vs. Ackerman contest.
The consolation games are set for 4 and 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the championships will be at 7 and 8:30.
