Kosy, McAdams drop baseball games
The visiting Whippets dropped a 7-0 decision to Neshoba Central High School on Friday.
NCHS standout senior Donnie Tabb tossed a two-hitter to lead the Rockets to the win. Ty Dean doubled for Kosy, while Will Lawrence had an infield single.
The loss dropped the Whippets to 12-7 overall and 6-4 in Region 4-4A play. Kosy hosts Noxubee County at noon Saturday and Carthage at 4 p.m. The seniors will be honored before the Noxubee County game.
The McAdams Bulldogs were held to just one hit as they dropped a 10-0 road game to Noxapater. Freshman Kenderio Gilmore singled for the Bulldogs, while fellow freshman Brent Newell was solid on the mound, striking out eight batters in five innings.
