Ackerman High School shortstop Symone Simpson has been chosen to play in the Mississippi Association of Coaches Fast-Pitch Softball All-Star series.
Simpson will play on the North team in the Class 1A-2A-3A event on June 20 at Newton County High School in Decatur. The Slow-Pitch games will be played on June 19. Simpson was the only player from the Star-Herald coverage area to be chosen for either the slow-pitch or fast-pitch games.
