Holmes drops pair to EMCC
Holmes Community College’s bid to improve its seed in the upcoming MACJC State Baseball Tournament was thwarted by homestanding East Mississippi Community College on Tuesday.
Three EMCC pitches combined to allow Holmes just 11 hits and one run over 14 innings as the Lions took a pair of wins in Scooba.
East Miss. won the first game 1-0, then took the nightcap 2-1.
Next up for Holmes is a doubleheader against North Arkansas Community College in Searcy Thursday at 1 p.m. The Bulldogs are now 25-19 overall and are in fourth place in the MACJC North Division with an 11-11 mark.
