The Oprah Winfrey Boys & Girls Club have found themselves a new director.
Ison Harris, 40, of Indianapolis, Ind., has been chosen by the OWB&G; Club Board of Directors to lead the club into the future.
The community is invited to a reception honoring Harris on Thursday, May 14 at the club on Knox Road. Time for the reception will be announced tomorrow.
Harris comes to the Kosciusko by way of Indianapolis, where he was unit director at the Wheeler Boys & Girls Club for almost nine years. He started at Wheeler as a volunteer in 1997 and founded “Sports of the Future,” youth program to promote sportsmanship and faith.

While in high school, he was an Honorable Mention All-State basketball player and Mississippi All-Star 1986, also MVP of 1986 State 4A Runner-ups Eagles team. In college, he was voted Team Captain his Junior and Senior years.
