Weir football jamboree still on for today
Despite the weather's best efforts, football is still scheduled for Weir High School today.
The Lions will host five other teams in a spring football jamboree that will begin at 3:30 p.m. when Eupora takes on French Camp and will conclude with a 6:50 p.m. contest between host Weir and J.Z. George.
The scrimmages will be contested on only the South end of the field and will be under controlled situations.
The 4:10 p.m. matchup has Durant taking on Weir, while Noxapater and J.Z. George meet at 4:50 p.m. and Eupora and Durant square off at 5:30.
The 6:10 contest has French Camp facing Noxapater, with the Weir-J.Z. George match-up concluding the action.
