The Kosciusko Attala Development Corporation is poised to grow even larger, increasing networking opportunities for all members!
Paul Powers, the chairman of the drive, has assembled two teams for the membership drive.
Powers will be the team captain of the men’s team with Denny Terrell, and Stephen Cheek as the other members. The women’s team is headed by team captain Nancy Duran with members Lori Kyle and Sandra Landrum.
Duran said the men’s team was going down because the women plan to out work the men.
Both teams have said they may bring in reinforcements to call prospective new KADC members the week of March 22.
Anyone wishing to give these teams a head start by joining can call the KADC office at 289-2981 and pre-join and give credit to any team member.
All new KADC members will be invited and recognized at a welcoming reception in April at the new KADC office located at 101 North Natchez. The theme for this year’s drive is “Networking to Grow Business.”
“Capitalizing on new contacts can help grow a business in any economy” said KADC Chairman Thomas Pound.
The KADC has many value added service to help local businesses grow and save money. This ranges from a healthcare program with discounts for small businesses to website promotion and advertising of local member businesses.
The real winner will be our community. The KADC works to promote local member businesses and daily answers questions about where to shop and find certain items.
The KADC plans to provide more services and promotional opportunities for our members in 2010.
The KADC will be kicking off a buy local campaign called Be Local… Buy Local.
This campaign will be working directly with KADC members to ask citizens to think about spending in Kosciusko Attala County and give our businesses a chance for all goods and services.
That encompasses all business from consumer purchases, to business to business, to organizations. The KADC will also be updating our Community Resource Book and will be offering special rates to member businesses. Call 289-2981.
