KOSCIUSKO —
For the third year, employers will be set up at the Attala County Coliseum on Highway 12 for the Mid-Mississippi Job Fair Thursday, February 14.
Organizers are very pleased with the number of employers that have registered. The job fair will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“I want to let y’all know that we do have upwards of 35 companies coming,” Kosciusko Attala Development Economic Development Vice President Greg Cooper said to the Attala County Supervisors Monday morning.
Cooper said a lot of local employers are participating in the fair.
Some are: Attala Steel, BSP Filing Solutions, Citizens National Bank, Merchants and Farmers Bank, Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital among others. See complete list on A8.
“We do have Ingall’s from the Coast coming,” Cooper said.
Also, Toyota and Nissan have been approached.
“They are three large employers that are going to need some quality people,” Cooper said. “We think it’s going to be better than last year.
The job fair is sponsored through the Governor’s Job Fair Network of Mississippi.
Hundreds of people have attended the job fair in the past.
