KOSCIUSKO —
A juvenile suspect was charged with motor vehicle theft Friday, according to the Kosciusko Police Department press release.
KPD officers recovered a 1996 Ford Taurus from Peeler Street that was stolen from the Jackson area.
Clp. Robert Land’s efforts in the case were recognized by the department.
The case is still under investigation.
The KPD reports the following arrests:
On Sunday, Cecil Durwood Ashford, 40, was arrested for no driver’s license and first offense driving under the influence on Crawford Street by officer Jerry Coleman.
Also on Sunday, Emmer L. Thomas, 65, was arrested for second offense suspended driver’s license, improper equipment, and no proof of insurance on Highway 12 East by officer Jimmy Evans.
On Friday, Kanesha Phillips, 20, was arrested for no driver’s license, no proof of insurance, and child restraint violation on Highway 12 West by Land.
On Friday, Lamarkus Curtis Martin, 21, was arrested for improper equipment and possession of paraphernalia on Highway 12 East by officer Jimmy Evans.
On Friday, James Franklin McMillion Jr., 36, was arrested for contempt of court on West Adams Street by Capt. Herbert Dew.
On February 6, Antawyon Moniquie Stewart, 28, was arrested for suspended driver’s license, expired tag and theft of utilities on Fairground Street by officer Mark Gilmore.
On February 6, Curtis Jenkins, 44, was arrested for public drunkenness on West South Street by Cpl. Brice Cole.
On February 5, Otis Bolton, 51, was arrested for public drunkenness on Highway 12 East by officer Steven Allen.
