Funeral services for Eugene Douglas Burrell, 80, of Durant, will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m. at Southern Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Seneasha Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 26, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burrell, a machine operator, died Oct. 25, 2012 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was a member of Bowlin Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Louria Burrell of Durant; son, Dennis Reid Burrell (Deborah) of Bentonia; step sons, Leonard Keith (Ann) of Sallis, Calvin Keith of Jackson; daughters, Joy Lynette Warren (Randall) of Warner Robins, GA, Vickie Lynn Lancaster (David) of Bentonia, Hope Denise Nelson (David) of Yazoo City; step daughters, Patsy Blaylock (William) of Kosciusko, Barbara Shelton of Kosciusko, Kathy King (Cecil) of Durant, Sue Thornton (Charles) of Durant; brothers, Jerry Burrell of Houston, TX, Jimmy Burrell of Montgomery, TX, Charles Burrell of New Caney, TX, and Glen Burrell of Porter, TX; sisters, Sid ney Ketchum of Benton, Peggy Shely of Conroe, TX; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; several step grandchildren.
