KOSCIUSKO —
Elizabeth Schepens, 93, of Wichita Falls, TX, and formerly of Greenville, MS, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013, in Wichita Falls.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, at City Cemetery in Kosciusko.
Wichita Falls Embalming Service is in charge of the arrangements. Rev. John Burke of First Baptist Church of Greenville, will officiate.
Elizabeth was born on August 8, 1919, in Kosciusko, to Ernest and Mary Blanton. After graduation from high school in Kosciusko, she attended business school in Jackson, MS, and became a legal secretary there and later in Washington, D. C. Elizabeth married Leo Schepens of Glendive, MT, on April 25, 1945. They had three children. For many years, Elizabeth was Director of the Washington County Cerebral Palsy School in Greenville. She thoroughly enjoyed working with the children there. In later years, she helped her husband Leo, who owned and operated Gulf Super Service in Greenville.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Leo and by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
She is survived by her son Jim and his wife Emily of Kingwood, TX, her son Bill and his wife Pattie of Caseyville, IL, and her daughter Cheri Lee and her husband Ken of Wichita Falls, TX. She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Bonneaux and husband Nelson, of Orange, TX. In addition, she is survived by seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
