Funeral services for William L. “Cooter” Thompson, 71, of Kosciusko will be held Tuesday, Aug. 24, at 10 a.m. at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Parkway Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Monday at Culpepper Funeral Home.
Thompson, retired from more than 50 years employment with The Star-Herald, died Aug. 22, 2010 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He had worked in design and composition and as circulation manager making weekly distribution routes in the area.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a brother, Bobby Thompson of Greenwood; three sisters, Stella Dees of Kosciusko, Betty Milburn of Brandon and Jo Ann Moore of Vaughn.
Dr. Don Patterson will officiate.
