Roy Bain Young, 79, of Thomastown died July 28, 2010 at Hospice Ministries Inc. in Ridgeland.
Graveside services will be held Friday, July 30, at 10 a.m. at Thomastown Baptist Cemetery with Jordan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Rev. Billy Frazier and Rev. Marshall Lum will officiate.
He was born May 26, 1931. He was a retired equipment operator, who loved to hunt and fish. He was a kind, loving, compassionate person to everyone he met and knew. He was a member of Rocky Point Baptist Church, Carthage.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Doris; son, Ronald Young and wife, Linda of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Gail Montgomery and husband, Jeff of Vicksburg; sisters, Virginia Jane Clark and Elsie Draper Young, both of Thomastown; grandchildren, Molly Parks and husband, chance of Madison, Jeffrey Gough of Vicksburg, and Trevor Young of Virginia Beach.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Seth Garrett and Jessie Mable Blailock Young; brother, Jim Martin Young.
