T.A. Heath

Thomas Adolph “T.A.” Heath Jr., 93, of Rolling Fork, died November 14, 2012,

at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg.

Visitation will be held Friday, 5-7 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork and on Saturday 9-10 a.m. at Rolling Fork United Methodist Church followed by the funeral at 10.

The Rev. Beth Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork.

Mr. Heath was born in Issaquena County on August 23, 1919, to Thomas Adolph

and Nona Holloway Heath. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force in World War

II and the Army in the Korean War.

After returning home, he was employed with Southern Natural Gas until his

retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing on his family land in Issaquena

County and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Heath was active

in his church and served as chair of the Rolling Fork United Methodist

Church Board of Trustees. He also served as the president of the Rolling

Fork Lions Club.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Howard

Heath of the Zama Community.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Waren Heath of Rolling Fork, daughters,

Lynn (Jim) Newman of Rolling Fork and Lea Heath of Vicksburg; son, Kelly

(Glynda) Heath of Clinton; brother, Marion (Betty Jo) Heath; grandchildren,

Leslie (Paul) Dees of Kosciusko, Lisa (Bryan) Holland of Madison, Robbie

Heath, Grant Heath and Glyn Heath, all of Clinton; great-granddaughter,

Landry Rose Holland; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Patrick Pope, Deanie Miller, Ronnie Heath, Jeff Waren, Paul

Hollis, Phil Kerr, Grey Windham and Jeff Kitchings.

Honorary pallbearers were Dalton Ross, Wayne Kerr, Jim Linville, Frank

Corban, Ern Black, James Ousley, Lynn Bell, Richard Jue, Dr. Walter Johnston

and Billy Johnson.
