Funeral services for Mary Katherine Gelston, 70, of West were held Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Southern Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Old Wheeling Cemetery, West.

She died Feb. 19, 2013 at her residence. She was a native of Holmes County and a member of West Baptist Church. She was employed by Bank Plus for 28 years and served five years as West Librarian.

She is survived by a son Shane Tucker (Jan) of Sallis; daughters, Kathy Gelston and Lyndol Giles (Marlin), both of West, and Christy Ferrell (Lamar) of Lexington; a sister, Doris J. Jones of Durant; five grandchildren, Samantha Tucker, Trey Ferrell, Mandy, Cody and Tyler Giles.

Rev. James Burrell officiated.

Serving as pallbearers were Mickey Chisolm, Robert Wayne Carnathan, Mark Taylor, Ken Gelston, Mike Gelston and Mark Brown.
