KOSCIUSKO —
Clara Mae O’Briant Thrasher, 91, of Kosciusko, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Atwood Personal Care Home in Kosciusko.
She was the daughter of Pearl and Author O’Briant and wife of Vernon Newton Thrasher. They lived most of their lives in the Providence Community. They worshiped at Providence Baptist Church for over 50 years.
Visitation is Friday, Oct. 5, from 5-8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial next to her husband in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Rev. Walter Hines will officiate.
She was an avid gardener. She enjoyed canning the vegetables and working with her flowers. She loved to share vegetables with her neighbors.
She is survived by daughters, Jerri Pare’ (George) of Birmingham, AL, Janell Butler of Brandon, and Mary Lynn Clark (Jim) of Fulton; grandchildren, Suzanne Ennis (David), Jinny Foote (Don), Jay Clark (Heather), Jon Clark, and Jaclyn Dyer (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Sydney, Joe, and Zoey Clark.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Ora Lee Shields, and brother, Carl Author O’Briant.
Pallbearers are Jay Clark, Jon Clark, Joe Clark, David Ennis, Don Foote, and Ryan Dyer.
