Mrs. Margaret Earlene Hutchison McLain, of Bossier City, LA, born May 4, 1929, went to be with Jesus on August 28, 2010, in Bossier City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Ollie Pearl Hutchison; grandson, Wesley Bodkins; sisters, Sue Wise and Fay Ainsworth; brother, John Wesley Hutchison; and daughter-in-law, Janice McCrory Watson.
She is survived by sons, Johnny Watson and wife Brenda of Newport; Kevin McLain and wife Elaine of Haughton, LA; and daughter Renee Bodkins and husband Robert of Clinton; brothers, Charles Hutchison and wife Helen of Iowa, Jim Hutchison and wife Betty of Brandon, and Danny Hutchison of Clinton; sister, Dot Dendy of West; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relative and friends.
She loved the Lord and was a member of Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton. She loved to bake cakes and treats, while working in the home. She loved life and loved to laugh. She loved her family and friends and helping others. She returned to work after raising her family and retired from the MS Dept of Veterinary Medicine. She loved helping others and spent countless hours volunteering for the Girl Scouts, PTA, Mithra Grotto Dental Clinic and the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children. She was awarded a lifetime achievement award from the Woodlawn High PTA. She loved sports and played basketball and softball.
Her memorial will be officiated by Bro. Don Cook at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel in Kosciusko at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. She will be laid to rest in the McClain Cemetery in Newport.
Pallbearers will be David Hutchison, Jimmy Dickerson, George Patton, Alton Taylor, Richard Scott, and Clyde Woods. Honorary pallbearers will be Bailey Hutchison and Clarence McCrory.
