KOSCIUSKO —
James Lamar “Jim” Brown, 78, of Kosciusko, a retired equipment manager for Ivey, Inc, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Visitation is Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Parkway Cemetery. Bro. Les Ferguson and Dewey Lawrence will officiate the service.
He attended the South Huntington Church of Christ, where he served as a former deacon and treasurer. He served his country in the United States Air Force in the Korean Conflict. He also was a member of the Fred Wasson Post 44 American Legion.
Survivors include: his wife, Bessie Dendy Brown of Kosciusko; sons, James Nickolas Brown and wife, Tammy of Hernando and Timothy Alan Brown of Kosciusko; grandchildren, Nickolas Kyle Brown, Benjamin Kerr Brown and wife, Paige, Lindsey Claire Brown, Laura Cathryn Brown, and Lexie Caroline Brown; great-grandchildren, Bradyn Kerr Brown and Rehanne Brown; adopted son, Earl “Chunk” Williams; and sisters, Eva Dee Brown Jones of Sallis and Dorothy Brown Harman of Kosciusko.
He was preceded in death by parents, Emmette Lagrone and Lilla Belle Brantley Brown.
Pallbearers will be Robbie McCafferty, Steve Lawrence, Fabian Wiley, Jason Self, Barry Howell, and Mike Wood.
