Burton Allen, 71, of Sallis passed away January 9, 2013.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 12, at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation was held prior to services starting at 9 a.m.
Pallbearers were Jonathan Eaves, Jordan Eaves, Roger Campbell, Sam Townsend, Cliff Bishop and Chad Bishop.
Rev. George Pitts officiated the services.
Mr. Allen was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a retired diesel mechanic for Endevco.
He is preceded in death by parents, Cecil and Lorraine Turner Allen; wife, Jimmie Ruth Allen; daughter, Vickie Allen; son, Edward Burton Allen, Jr.; brothers, Lamar Allen, Ross Allen, Floyd Allen; sister, Evon Whittman.
