Charles Lee Gilbert, 70, of McCool, a retired truck driver, died Nov. 3, 2012 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo.

Visitation is Tuesday, Nov. 6, 5-8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko, and on Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 10-11 a.m. at Bear Creek Baptist Church with services at 11 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in the Bear Creek Cemetery.

He was a deacon at Bear Creek Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and loved to work in his garden.

Rev. Chet Ferguson and Rev. Jerrell Head will officiate.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Parish Gilbert of McCool; sons, Charles Daniel Gilbert (Diana) and David Gilbert, both of red Oak, TX; daughter, Vicki Godwin (Dru) of Burleson, TX; ten grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two step great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Gilbert of Denton, TX.

He was preceded in death by parents, Robert Braxton and Lola Sims Gilbert; and brother, James Byron Gilbert.
