Opal Holder Taylor, 88, of Durant, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at the Holmes County Long Term Care.
Opal was a retired business owner, owning and operating The Apparel Shop
in Durant for 30 years.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by daughters Nancy ( Billy) Irby and Terri ( David) Cain of Durant; sisters, Ilene Carter of Gore Spring and Mildred Kinnebrew of Durant; grandchildren, David Irby, Paige Irby, Chris Cain, and Jan Irby Maddux, four great grandchildren, and one great great grand child.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Taylor; brothers, R.C., Guy, W.W., and Buford Holder and a sister Josephine Wilson.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 22, from the First United Methodist Church in
Durant. Visitation will be at the church beginning at 12 noon and the services following
at 2 p.m.. Burial will be in the Mizpah Cemetery in Durant.
Southern Funeral Home of Durant is in charge of arrangement..
