KOSCIUSKO —
William Hudson Chesteen, Sr., 79, of French Camp, died of heart failure at his home
on Thursday, August 9. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 11,
at French Camp Baptist Church, with Rev. Randy Bridges officiating.
Visitation was held Friday, August 10, from 6 until 8 p.m., at French Camp Baptist
Church.
Mr. Chesteen was the son of the late Clarence and Iva Arline Bridges Chesteen. He
was a retired carpenter and a member of French Camp Baptist Church, where he
served as a deacon for over 30 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran. In addition to his
parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Chesteen of French Camp; daughter, Theresa
Pee of Ethel; son, Billy Chesteen of French Camp; sister, Betty Ruth Crouch of
Winona; three grandchildren, Gary Pee, Bethany Chesteen, and B. J. Chesteen; and
three great-grandchildren, Brody Pee, Christian Pee, and Mia Pee.
Pallbearers were his nephews. Deacons of French Camp Baptist
Church served as honorary pallbearers.
Burial was in French Camp Cemetery.
