Joseph Lamar Burdine

Funeral services for Attala County native Joseph Lamar "Joe" Burdine, 45, of Yazoo City will be held Saturday, March 20, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Yazoo City. Burial will be in the Kosciusko City Cemetery directed by Stricklin-King Funeral Home of Yazoo City.

Burdine, a paramedic, died March 18, 2010 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Holly H. Burdine of Yazoo City; a daughter, Malory Burdine of Canton; parents, “Sonny” and Marcella Burdine; a sister, Armona and John Daughaday; and a brother, Edward Burdine, all of Yazoo City.

Father George Woodliff will officiate.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.

Visitation is Saturday, 12:30-2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church.
