KOSCIUSKO —
Billie Joyce Lowery Steed, 81, of Ethel, a retired salesclerk, died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 12, from 5-8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Doty Springs Cemetery.
Rev. Walter Hines will officiate the services.
She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and served as church secretary for ten years.
Survivors include: son, Stephen Steed of Brandon; daughters, Beverly Buzzerd of Ethel, and Pam Mayton (Jim) of Tuscaloosa, AL; grandchildren, Adam and Ava Mayton, Gabby Taylor, Meagan Buzzerd, Conner Steed, and Kaelyn Steed; great-grandchild, Carly Taylor; and sisters, Bonnie Boswell of Kosciusko, and Lois McGee of Winston County.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Morris Lee “Pokie” Lowery and Morris Elwayne “Winnie” Steed; sisters, Jeanette Myers, Faye Manning, and Betty Adcock; brother, Leo Bennett; and parents, Dee Olan and Ethelene Shumaker Bennett.
Memorials may be made to the Doty Springs Cemetery Fund or French Camp Academy.
