Phillip Wayne Murray

KOSCIUSKO —  

Phillip Wayne Murray, 59, of Kosciusko, a retired auto mechanic for Phillip’s Auto Clinic, died Aug. 31, 2010 at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital.

Visitation is Thursday, Sept. 2, 5-8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 3, at 11:30 a.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Rev. Doyle Mitchell will officiate.

He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. He was a song leader, sang many specials and was a lay minister.

Survivors are: his wife, Sarah Stewart Murray of Kosciusko; son, Stuart Wayne Murray of Brandon; sisters, Brenda Biggart of Kosciusko and Denise Armstrong and husband, James of Memphis; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Stewart of Kosciusko; sister-in-law, Sandy Stewart Cook and husband, Glennis of Cedarville, AR; brother-in-law, Buddy Stewart and wife, Katrina of Birmingham, AL; seven nephews; two nieces; three great nephews; six great nieces; two god sons; and one god daughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Earl and Hazel Marie Nail Murray.

Memorials may be sent to Chapel Hill Cemetery Fund, c/o Clemma Ferrell, 2141 Attala Road 2270, French Camp, MS 39745.
