Roads need names, not numbers

To the editor:

It was with great excitement when I got my paper and read the article on the Native American museum project.  I want to personally thank the members of the committee including Hollis Cheek, our Mayor of Kosciusko Jimmy Cockroft, Jason White and the Kosciusko- Attala Partnership CEO Kel McDowell for putting this great project on the front burner to promote tourism in Kosciusko and Attala County.

It is my hope that Attala County will step-up and work with the committee to do away with Attala Road Numbers that are making it hard for citizens and tourist alike to explore the county and take  in its great history.  Case in point county officials and emergency crews already refer to the original road names and not the road numbers.  Giving the roads in the County Native American Names will be easy and Princess Attala will be very pleased.

It was also my hope that our great train history in Kosciusko and Attala County could be a part of it too.  It would be a magnet for tourism also.
May God Bless Kosciusko and Attala County.
