Don’t make a New Year’s resolution – Make a difference in someone’s life

KOSCIUSKO — With the ushering in of 2012, the list of New Year’s resolutions seek to creep up and multiply for most of us.

I, for one, don’t make New Year’s resolutions but think of the new year as a fresh start to get things done right.

And looking over the past year, I think we can all agree there are things would do better.

I have learned that I am not “Superwoman” and can’t be in two places at the same time. It’s time to stop, recognize my limitations and help those I can.

While most people make resolutions to stop smoking, lose weight or get out of debt (and those are great tasks to achieve), we need to look at the big picture and what can I do today for myself or someone else that will make a difference tomorrow and every day after that.

Giving back with our time or our talents to help our community and all the young people in it could probably be the best gift we could ever give in 2012.

Fear of Big Red canceled fishing

Summertime visiting
