Fill it out!

KOSCIUSKO — It’s simple. It’s easy. It’s worth it.

If you are wondering what I am talking about, then maybe you haven’t checked your mail in the past two weeks.

It’s the 2010 Census form.

The slogan that the Census Bureau is focusing on is “Ten Questions. Ten Minutes. Ten Years.”

It probably took me less than 10 minutes and then I put it in the return envelope with paid postage.

Don’t worry about the “man” taking away your benefits you may get. The Census Bureau doesn’t release any information for 72 years and most of us will be long gone by then.

Filling out your form, helps Kosciusko and Attala County get needed funds for roads, bridges, 911 equipment and much more.

It also helps determine how many congressmen we have. In the 2000 Census, we lost one.

  • We are a changed nation

Ten years ago come Sunday, a handful of fanatical thugs flew hijacked American airplanes into American buildings and what both we and the rest of the world had always thought of as America began to almost immediately change. Today, that 10-year-ago image is but a memory.
