The Whippets and Lady Whippets both fell to Louisville last Friday night by scores of 81-62 and 80-42 respectively.  They then traveled to the Houston Shootout on Saturday where the Whippets defeated Smithville 54-51 and the Lady Whippets fell to Houston 60-34.  The Whippets moved to 10-3 overal

The Ethel Tigers and Lady Tigers traveled to East Webster last Friday night and dropped both contests 64-47 and 53-23 respectively.  The Tigers fell to 5-6 overall while the Lady Tigers fell to 7-5.

The McAdams and Lady Bulldogs traveled to Pelahatchie last Friday night with the Bulldogs picking up a 60-35 win to improve to 3-12 on the year.  The Lady Bulldogs suffered their fifth loss of the season with a 57-54 setback, moving their record to 10-5 overall.

Former Holmes Community College quarterback Josh Dodd of Kosciusko signed a national letter of intent with University of Tennessee-Martin.

It sure was an exciting year in sports in Attala County.
