The Kosciusko Whippets opened the season with resounding wins over Winona and Yazoo County, winning both games in six innings by scores of 12-2 and 13-0.  The Ethel Tigers handled business in much the same way by sweeping Greenville St. Joe 12-2 and 10-2.

Lady Bulldogs advance


The McAdams Lady Bulldogs defeated West Lowndes last Friday night 61-49 and advanced to play Ashland in the Class 1A quarterfinals on Wednesday at the Mississippi Coliseum.  The Lady Bulldogs pushed their record to 23-5 with the win over West Lowndes.
