BOGUE CHITTO —
The McAdams Lady Bulldogs earned a trip to the Class 1A South State Tournament at Bogue Chitto and defeated Dexter 68-43 last Thursday.
The Lady Bulldogs would then fall 52-43 to Hinds AHS on Friday to end the 2012-13 season.
In Thursday’s game against Dexter, the Lady Bulldogs would take an early 15-10 first quarter lead.
The Lady Bulldogs would then add to this lead in the second quarter and led 32-18 at the half.
The Lady Bulldogs would again outscore Dexter in the third quarter 19-12 to take a 51-30 lead into the fourth quarter.
The Lady Bulldogs would put the game away in the fourth quarter and increased the final tally to 68-43.
The leading scorers for the Lady Bulldogs were Chelsea Kilbert with 23 points, Kennedy Landfair with 16 points and Sylvia Bentley with 10 points.
In Friday’s game against Hinds AHS the Lady Bulldogs found themselves in an 8-7 hole after one quarter of play.
Hinds AHS would dig the hole even deeper for the Lady Bulldogs in the second quarter by outscoring them 20-8 to take a 28-15 lead into the half.
The Lady Bulldogs turned the tables on Hinds AHS in the third quarter by outscoring them 21-15 to pull within seven points of the lead, 43-36. Hinds AHS would dominate the fourth quarter and pulled away in the contest by outscoring the Lady Bulldogs 19-7 to push the final score to 52-43.
This loss would end the season for the McAdams Lady Bulldogs.
The leading scorers for the Lady Bulldogs were Chelsea Kilbert with 11 points, Sylvia Bentley with nine points, Daveda Newell with nine points and Kennedy Landfair as well as Amber Newell with six points each.
