KOSCIUSKO —
Only two of the eight teams in MHSAA Region 2-1A head into the third week of the season undefeated and both of them are local teams.
Durant, ranked No. 1 in MHSAA Class 1A by the Mississippi Prep Sports Source, tries to remain undefeated this week when it plays host to crosstown rival Williams-Sullivan.
The other 2-0 team in Region 3-1A, McAdams, has an open date the next two weeks. The Bulldogs are ranked No. 15 in according to the MPSS.
Only one of the remaining six teams has a victory credit, that being 1-1 Montgomery County. The Hornets pays a visit to J.Z. George this week.
Shaw, 0-1, is ranked No. 11 and visits Coahoma AHS. The tother four teams — Drew, Coffeeville, Ray Brooks and Greenville St. Joseph — are all 0-2. Friday's games have Drew visiting Hollandale simmons, Coffeeville hosting Morton, Ray Brooks hosting West Bolivar and Greenville St. Joe travels to St. Aloysius.
