The Ethel Lady Tigers hosted the French Camp Lady Panthers last Tuesday night and lost the Region 5 contest 51-41.
The Lady Panthers led the host team 11-6 after the first quarter but the Lady Tigers were able to close the gap in the second quarter by outscoring the visitors 11-7 to trail by one, 18-17, at the intermission.
The Lady Panthers were able to come out strong in the third quarter and were able to outscore the Lady Tigers 18-12 to take a 36-29 lead into the fourth.
The Lady Tigers were not able to keep pace with FCA in the games final quarter and were outscored 15-12, dropping the contest 51-41.
The leading scorers for the Lady Tigers were Iesha Merritt with 13 points, Keshauri Merritt as well as Dotty Townsend with nine points and Lindsey McNeal with five points.
The leading scorers for the Lady Panthers were Sonyae McGee-Walker with 17 points, Moesha Scott with nine points and Elexus Hughes as well as Myesha Scott with eight points each.
The Lady Tigers hosted West Lowndes Tuesday night and will travel to West Lowndes next Tuesday night.
The Lady Panthers hosted Noxapater Tuesday night and will host Weir Friday night at 5 p.m.

Myer wins state, Hill finishes third
The third time is the charm for Mitchell Myer at the 4A MHSAA State Track Meet. In 2011 Mitchell finished fourth with 11-00.00 and in 2012 he finished sixth with a leap of 11-00.00. On Monday, May 13, Mitchell vaulted 12-06.00 to capture his fifth victory to stay undefeated for the year.
