CALHOUN CITY —
The McAdams Powerlifting team won the Region 6-1A meet in Calhoun City on Saturday with a total of 70 points.
The Bulldogs had seven first place finishers, three second place finishers and two third place finishers.
Colby Bailey won the 114-pound class, Anfernee Lusk won the 123-pound class, Kennedy Allen won the 132-pound class, Legerald Snow won the 148-pound class, Cornelius Williams won the 181-pound class, Mark Stewart won the 198-pound class and Denzel Mallet won the 242-pound class.
Glen Sandifer finished second in the 114-pound class, Markise Zollicoffer placed second in the 132-pound class and Martin Latiker was awarded second in the 275-pound class. The two lifters awarded third place were Ashton Rockett in the 181-pound class and Tyquane Felton in the 165-pound class.
Durant was the only other team in the meet with the Bulldogs and they had two first place winners in Amota Coffee in the 275-pound class and Cortez Hart in the 308-pound class. The Tigers had five second place finishers that included Gabriel Bailey in the 148-pound class, Keon Price in the 123-pound class, Jordan Ellis in the 165-pound class, Tavares Newmon in the 181-pound class and Semaj Ficklin in the 198-pound class.
Finishing third for the Tigers were Ryan Myers in the 132-pound class, Jaylen Lester in the 114-pound class and Kenderius Jenkins in the 275-pound class.
Awarded fourth in the meet for the Tigers was Cornelius Ware in the 181-pound class.
