KOSCIUSKO —
Emily Chapell Henke and Russell Turner Bowie were united in marriage at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2011, in the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation on Anna Maria Island, Florida. Officiating at the double ring ceremony was the Reverend Dee Ann de Montmollin.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Kurt Henke, of Clarksdale, Mississippi. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fratesi, of Indianola, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Norman J. Henke, of Indianola, and Anna Maria Island, Florida
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Lamar Bowie of West, Mississippi. He is the grandson of Mrs. W.C. Landrum and the late Mr. Landrum of Durant, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harwell Lamar Bowie of West.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal gown by Monique Lhuillier of ivory re-embroidered Alencon lace over honey silk satin featuring a strapless sweetheart neckline closed with lace covered buttons down the back. A bouquet of pearls, crystals, and matte sequins centered a satin ribbon belt worn around the natural waistline of the gown, and the full a-line lace skirt and chapel train were edged in scalloped Alencon.
Her ribbon edged veil of illusion fell to her fingertips from a pearl and crystal headband. Her bouquet was a round hand designed clutch of creamy white roses, white mini calla lilies, and white hydrangea wrapped in light ivory double faced satin ribbon and secured with a brooch from her maternal grandmother.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mary Katherine Henke Witt, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Melanie Smith Crawford and Megan Susanne Felker. They wore mist dupioni silk dresses by Lula Kate. The flower girl was Hallie Jean Fancher.
The best man was William Lamar Bowie, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Walton Lamar Bowie, brother of the groom, Baxter Wilson Billingsley, and Jordan David Musgrove.
Program attendant was Abigail Elizabeth Bufkin.
A reception was held for family and guests in the Gulf Room of the Martinique on Anna Maria Island immediately following the ceremony.
Following a honeymoon trip to Little Palm Island, Florida, the couple will reside in Jackson where the groom is employed by Southern Farm Bureau and the bride is employed by Northwest Rankin County School System.
