KOSCIUSKO —
A service of worship celebrating the marriage of Allison Corinne McMahon and Kelly Scott Fulgham was held at six o’clock in the evening on July 10, 2010 at Crossgates United Methodist Church in Brandon. The Reverend John Moore officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven McMahon of Brandon. Maternal grandparents are Mrs. Melba Nail and the late George Nail of Kosciusko. Paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold McMahon of McAdams.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Brunt of Vaughan and Mrs. Pat Fulgham and the late Gary Fulgham of Ackerman. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John Kelly Moore of Vaughan and the late Mr. and Mrs. Welby J. Brunt of Ethel. Paternal grandparents of the groom are Mrs. Farrell Fulgham and the late Holt S. Fulgham of Kosciusko and Mrs. Dama Hunt Johnson and the late L. B. Hunt of Ackerman.
Nuptial music was presented by Celia Lymberis, organist, Mitch Brantley, guitarist and Jay Carr, vocalist. Scripture reader was Stephanie Case Edgar.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless A-line gown of ivory organza satin with a sweeping chapel length train. The gown featured embroidery and crystal beading that cascaded from the neckline to the scalloped hemline. She wore a single tiered, fingertip length veil edged in pearls and crystals. Sewn inside the bodice near her heart was a circle of seed pearls that were given to the bride by her late paternal grandmother. The bride wore a pearl necklace that was a gift from her maternal grandmother. Her something borrowed and something blue was a pearl and sapphire ring belonging to her sister.
The bride carried a cluster bouquet of lavender roses, purple miniature callas, white stock and sweet peas accented with Ming fern and Galax leaves.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister Megan Lucas of Helena, Alabama. Bridesmaids were Ashley Beck of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Amanda Bleakney of New York, New York, Ashley Harris of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and Katherine Robichaux of Covington, Louisiana. They wore grape satin strapless, tea-length dresses featuring a ruched bodice. They carried cluster bouquets of green hydrangeas, white stock blossoms and roses.
Leslie Shows of Hattiesburg, Mary McDonald of Jackson, Stephanie Edgar of Madison, Virginia Miller and Stacey McAllister of Ridgeland served as the bride’s honorary bridesmaids. The groom’s father, Danny Brunt served as best man. Groomsmen were David Paul of Shreveport, Louisiana, Steven Moss of Ackerman, Paul Comfort of Kosciusko, Blake Jones and Kelly Moore of Vaughan.
Program attendants were Brook Molen of Brandon, Karlyn Curtis of Ackerman, Tyler Jones and Grace Jones of Vaughan. Lori Nail served as the wedding coordinator.
Following the ceremony the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Northpointe Red Barn. Guests danced to the music of DJ Peter Christian and Crew and enjoyed a catered buffet. The bride’s table featured a three tiered strawberry cake with white butter cream frosting decorated with the couple’s monogram and roses. The cake was cut with the knife used at the bride’s maternal grandparents’ fiftieth anniversary party. The groom’s table featured a chocolate cake representing his alma mater, Mississippi State University and various flavors of pound cakes. Decorating the table were autographed pictures containing wedding wishes to the groom from the MSU coaches and a Peter’s Pottery bulldog representing “Bully”.
On the eve of the wedding the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the University Club in Jackson. On the morning of the wedding, a bridal brunch was held at the home of the bride’s cousin, Leigh Webster Molen.
The couple left in a shower of bubbles and to the sound of ringing cowbells, favors given to the guests by the couple.
Following a honeymoon to Jamaica the couple is at home in Brandon.
