KOSCIUSKO —
Terann Ivey Culpepper and Steven “Blake” Melton were united in marriage at 5 p.m. on Oct. 8, 2010 in a private beach ceremony in Destin, Florida.
The bride is the daughter of Terry Culpepper and Teresa and Ric Schweitzer of Kosciusko and the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Merlene Ivey and the late William E. “Jack” Ivey of Madison, Melba Dean and Dale McLean of McAdams, Julius C. Tyler of Kosciusko, and Mrs. Janice Culpepper and the late Richard Mason Culpepper of Dossville.
The groom is the son of Gina and Steve Melton of Kosciusko and the grandson of Dennis Vowell of Philadelphia, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Pinney of Kosciusko and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walton Melton of Kosciusko.
The bride and groom were joined in a traditional nuptial exchange held privately on the beach in Destin, Florida.
The bride wore a strapless designer gown of ivory chiffon with a beautifully detailed, fitted bodice that flowed into a soft skirt. The empire waist was accented with hand beaded lace with ruching detail. The back of the gown was embellished with a beaded lace detail from the waist to the hem of the short chapel train.
She wore a headpiece of pearls and rhinestones, and a veil embellished with beads and sequins. She wore a pearl necklace given to her by the groom on their wedding day. She also wore pearl earrings and a bracelet borrowed from a friend along with a pink sapphire ring given to her by her grandmother.
The bride carried a bouquet of bright colored gerbera daisies wrapped in ivory colored ribbon and her great-grandmother’s handkerchief.
The couple will be honored with a reception to be held at Redbud Springs Golf and Country Club in Kosciusko on November 6, 2010 at 4 p.m.
All friends and family are invited to attend.
