Jessica Elizabeth Anthony and Jeremy Chase Sessums were united in marriage on Jan. 2, 2010 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Brandon First United Pentecostal Church. Rev. David Becton officiated at the candlelight, double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jimmie and Sondra Anthony of Pearl. She is the granddaughter of Mark and Gene Edwards, Bobby Farrell and the late Janice Farrell of Kosciusko and the late Walter Anthony and the late Iva Waltman.
The groom is the son of Charles and Jill Sessums of Lena and Andrea and Jerry McDill of Pearl. He is the grandson of Troy and Ruby Sessums of Lena, Jo Quick of Carthage and the late Billy Quick of Carthage and Ruthie McDill of Pearl.
Guests were treated to a DVD made by the couple. It was a combination of the couple’s engagement, special dates and milestones in their lives and was played as the groom entered the church. It was set to the song “When A Man Loves A Woman.”
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. “I Loved Her First” was played on CD rather than the traditional Wedding March. She wore a designer Cinderella-style ball gown of satin and lace with a fitted bodice, hand-sewn seed pearls and Australian crystals. The custom designed corset was tied down the back. The gown also had a chapel length train and matching elbow length veil attached to a white gold tiara covered in diamond and crystals. She carried a bouquet of white roses, baby’s breath, ivy, seed pearls and iridescents and a handkerchief that was her grandmother’s.
The groom wore a white tux with camo vest and matching tie.
The reception was also decorated to reflect the couple’s tastes of lace and camo with a three tier wedding cake spray painted with camo icing. The groom’s table was decorated in a deer hunting theme.
Angela Anthony served as her sister’s maid of honor. Taylor Harris, best friend of the groom, was best man. Jasmine Ainsworth, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Tyler O’Cain, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Audrihana Anthony, daughter of the couple, was dressed as a miniature bride. She was escorted by the mothers of the bride and groom.
Jessi Becton and Peyton Maddox handed out tubes of bubbles to the guests at the reception to send the couple off in a swirl of bubbles. Heather Anthony, niece of the bride, was guest book attendant.
As the flower girl, ring bearers and miniature bride came down the aisle, the song “It Won’t Be Like This For Long” was played to reflect how fast kids grow up. “All Over Love” was played when the wedding party exited the church.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s mother and was held at the couple’s favorite Mexican restaurant, Fernando’s.
