KOSCIUSKO —
Brittany Lee Smith and Craig Adams Pee were united in marriage on Dec. 17, 2011 at six o’clock in the evening at the Mary Ricks Thornton Cultural Center in Kosciusko.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Lisa Smith of Kosciusko and Mr. David A. (Tony) Smith of McCool. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Frances Plunkett and the late Mr. Grady Plunkett of Kosciusko and Mrs. Joycie Fitzhugh of Carthage and the late Mr. David L. Smith of Kosciusko.
The groom is the son of Ms. Pam Pee of Kosciusko and Mr. Ralph A. Pee Jr. of Ethel. He is the grandson of Mrs. Barbara Suggett and the late Mr. Jack Y. Suggett of Kosciusko and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph A. Pee Sr. of Ethel.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father. A bell chimed on the hour preceding her entrance. She wore a formal A-line gown of ivory lace over silk satin with a keyhole back featuring pearls and sequins centering a satin ribbon sash worn at the waistline. Embroidery covered the flowing chapel train. Completing the gown was a fingertip veil with pearl embellished Alencon lace. The bride carried a bouquet of white calla lilies, curly willow and greenery tied with ivory lace ribbon.
The mothers and grandmothers of the bride and groom carried small crosses in memory of the couple’s grandparents who have passed away.
Officiating the double ring ceremony was the Reverend Don Ray. A program of nuptial music was presented by pianist, Mrs. Laurie Gant. Soloist was Mr. Scott Coleman.
Serving as matron of honor was Mrs. Lacy Pinkard Hodges. Maid of honor was Miss Danielle Johnson. Serving as bridesmaids were Miss April Atwood, Mrs. Jasmine Mosley Pee, Miss Jamie Harp and Mrs. Amber Lepard Springer.
The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Shawn Pee, brother of the groom, Brandon Hodges, Zac O’Briant, Greg Watkins, Jamie Ellington and Joseph Stewart. Ushers were Jeremi Simmons, cousin of the bride, Stephen May, Will Ferguson and James Medders.
Serving as flower girl was Miss Kambrie Hodges. Ring bearers were Brayden Hodges and Brody Pee, son of the groom.
Reception
Following the ceremony, parents of the bride hosted a reception at the Redbud Springs Golf Club. Guests were invited to enjoy a southern meal and dance to the music of DJ Brian Simmons of Memphis. The bride’s table featured a four tier wedding cake topped with lilies and the couple’s initial. The groom’s table featured a two-tier chocolate and red velvet cake with a hunting theme.
The bride and groom left the reception under lighted sparklers and sounds of ringing cow bells.
Rehearsal
On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a steak dinner at The Place for Fish.
The couple is at home in Ethel.
