KOSCIUSKO —
Angela Nicole Irving and Brandon Michael Hughes were united in marriage on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at two o’clock in the afternoon, in an outdoor setting at the Kosciusko Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Irving Jr. of Ethel and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Hughes of Gore Springs.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She wore a Pronovias of Spain gown of ivory silk featuring a halter closure. The gown was embellished with jewels and a chapel length train. Completing the gown was a chapel length veil also embellished with jewels. The bride’s jewelry included pear earrings and a strand of pearls which belonged to her mother.
The bride carried a nosegay of pink and yellow Gerbera daisies, Orange Unique roses, lime green Chrysanthemum Buttons and a mixture of textured greenery, wrapped with French ribbon. Attached to the bouquet was a handkerchief belonging to her grandfather and a watch belonging to her great-grandmother.
Officiating the double-ring ceremony was Dr. Keith Dowden of Crowville, LA.
Mrs. Gabriel Gary of Yazoo City, served as matron of honor. Serving as maid of honor was Miss Bethanie Irving of Ethel. Bridesmaids were Miss Katlin Fulton of Louisville, Ms. Holly Winter of Calhoun City, and Miss Morgan Kleckley of Suwanee, GA. They wore matching tea length dresses of mocha satin and carried a nosegay which matched that of the bride.
Mr. Corvan Moore and Mr. Lyle Cole of Grenada, served as best men. Groomsmen were Mr. Steven Culpepper of Kosciusko, Mr. Archie Hollenback of Eupora, and Mr. Alex Kleckley of Suwanee, GA. The groom and groomsmen wore black tuxedos with camouflage vests and ties.
Mrs. Laura Dowden of Crowville, LA served as wedding coordinator and Mr. Jason Simmons of Ethel, operated the nuptial music.
Reception
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception in the club’s clubhouse.
Guest tables were overlaid with ivory ad mocha cloths and decorated with rustic centerpieces of wooden vases and candleholders, which were handmade by the bride’s father and grandfather, featuring Gerbera daisies of pink, yellow and orange.
The guests enjoyed an array of foods prepared by the bride’s parents and relatives. The bride and groom’s table featured a wooden centerpiece, made by the bride’s grandfather, surrounded by camouflage and a camouflage table runner with the couple’s monogram and wedding date embroidered in white. The bride’s cake was a three-tiered square creation with a monogrammed topper. The groom’s cake was a two-tiered chocolate cake with strawberries and shotgun shells adorning the base. The topping featured a photograph of the couple and their Manchester Terrier, Bruno.
A unity candle ceremony was held during the reception, after guests were served and seated. Soloist, Mr. Joel Hill, sang “How Beautiful” and Dr. Keith Dowden officiated.
Rehearsal dinner
On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a dinner at the Kosciusko Country Club. A meal prepared by Ms. Beth Boswell was served in a rustic setting.
After a honeymoon trip to Panama City Beach FL, the couple is at home in Oxford.
