Robin Burchfield and Jeff Fountain were united in marriage on Saturday, October 10, 2009, in an intimate, family ceremony at First United Methodist Church in Kosciusko.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Elaine Burchfield of French Camp. She is the granddaughter of the late Clyde and Florilla Burchfield of French Camp, the late William (Bill) C. Moore, Jr. of Leake County, and Parker Taylor and the late Doris Moore Taylor of Dossville.
The groom is the son of Gary and Becky Fountain of Ocean Springs. He is the grandson of the late Carl Fountain and Betty Fountain of Biloxi, and the late Richard and Sally Spray of Biloxi.
Officiating the ceremony was Rev. Dewitt “Bill” Bain. A special prayer was offered by Carl Fountain, uncle of the groom. The vocalist for the ceremony was Shannon Bain.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory and champagne gown which featured an A-line split front with a gathered waist and beaded lace detail. She wore a waist length ivory veil edged in champagne satin and accented with tiny crystals. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory roses and green hypericum berries.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was Amanda Dean, with Lillian Dean serving as junior bridesmaid. They wore chartreuse knee-length dupioni silk dresses with a crumb-catcher bodice and shirred empire waist. Hailey Parker served as the flower girl and wore a dupioni silk knee-length sleeveless dress with chartreuse bubble bustle skirt and a satin ribbon at the waist.
The groom’s father served as best man, with Noland Burchfield, nephew of the bride, as ring bearer. Nathan Burchfield, Logan Burchfield and Luke Burchfield, also nephews of the bride, served as ushers.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the beautiful Maple Terrace Inn in Kosciusko, where guests were treated to a fusion of Mississippi and Maryland cuisines.
After a nine-day honeymoon trip to Italy, the couple is at home in Baltimore, Maryland.
