Morning Update: Monday, June 18

KOSCIUSKO — Good morning Attala Countians! Today will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 80s. Lows will be in the 60s.

Community events

The Attala County Summer Fun Program will feature Science Day today, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., for ages 7-18 years. Bring sack lunch. This is guaranteed to be a fun day with experiments of Insta-Snow, Magic Sand, Tornado Tubes, Biofuel and more. The event will be held at the extension office on Fairground Road.

5:30 — Nets vs Lakers at Mt. Charity Gym (Carthage)

6:30 — Wizards vs Hawks at Mt. Charity Gym (Carthage)

7:30 — Spurs vs Warriors at Mt. Charity Gym (Carthage)

8:30 — Bobcats vs Timberwolves at Mt. Charity Gym (Carthage)

9:30 — Kings vs Raptors at Mt. Charity Gym (Carthage)

 

Governmental meetings

A budget hearing will be Monday at 8:30 p.m. at the Attala County School District’s Superintendent office. This is open to the public.

 

The Monday Attala County Board of Supervisors meeting will not be held due to the supervisors being on the Gulf Cost for supervisor association conference. They will meet on Monday, June 25.

On Tuesday, the Kosciusko Mayor and Board of Aldermen will meet at City Hall starting at 5:30 p.m.
