KOSCIUSKO —
The Attala County Democratic Executive Committee and the Martin Luther King Commemoration Committee will host the Middle Mississippi Inaugural Ball celebrating the reelection of President Barack Obama and Vice President Joseph Biden on Monday, Jan. 21.
Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. at the Oprah Winfrey Boys and Girls Club, 500 Knox Road, Kosciusko.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 youth, ages 5-17. They may be obtained by contacting committee chairman Charlotte Miller, 547-6067 or co-chairman Gloria Hutchins, 290-0249.
The public is invited for an evening of entertainment, fellowship and food. Each ticket holder will receive an inaugural souvenir package.

The Nation’s Capitol: Ethel High School students see sites in Washington, D.C.
Usually students spend spring break in activities totally foreign to education – not so with a group of Ethel High School students. Although they did not attend classes, ten EHS students feel they furthered their education during the five days of spring break spent in Washington D.C.

New Garden reunion Saturday, Sunday
