Sheriff’s Dept. looking for two; one wanted, the other missing

KOSCIUSKO — The Attala County Sheriff’s Department is looking for two men in separate cases.

Sheriff Tim Nail said his department is looking for Jeremie Edwards, a 27-year-old black male with brown eyes, 5’7 tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds.

He is wanted on two counts of sale of cocaine.

Edwards last known residence was in Ethel.

Sallis resident Friday Riley, 44, has gone missing again.

Riley, who has been gone since December 26, was officially reported missing on Monday, Nail said.

He was last seen walking from his home and is described as a black male with brown eyes, 5’5 and 150 pounds.

Nail said he is possibly in Holmes or Leake County.

Riley went missing in April, was found and returned home.



Open cases

On Monday, Michael Lee, of Carthage, reported his 2010 green F-250 stolen on Highway 440 in the Hesterville community. The truck had broken down.

On January 1, Michael Huffman reported a Polaris four-wheeler stolen from the Old 12 Hunting Club.

On December 30, A.C. Gaston reported a Stihl chain saw missing from his Attala County Road 2120 residence.

On December 31, Ella’s Country Store in McCool reported 18 cases of beer missing.

 Those with information on the whereabouts of Edwards or Riley or any of the open theft cases are asked to call the ACSD at 289-5556.

Arrests

On January 3, William Christopher Dunning, of Jackson, was charged with grand larceny after a theft at Doris Johnson’s Attala County Road 1223 property on December 26.

On January 2, Jared Paisley was charged with concealing a firearm and resisting arrest.

On January 1, Danny Taylor was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

On December 31, Billy Ray Horne, 40, and Doug Norwood, 20, have both been charged with grand larceny.  The incident was report on December 20.
